Kevin Viner @ The Falmouth Arms in Ladock
Restaurant, Bar & Accommodation
Warm and welcoming gastro pub. High-level cookery without pretension. Local ingredients treated with care and an experience that welcomes both the weekday regular and the special-occasion diner.
The Falmouth Arms is an historic 17th Century coaching Inn, with High standard Accommodation and Restaurant, situated in the Cornish village of Ladock, located between St Austell and Truro.
Kevin Viner was Cornwall’s first chef to earn a Michelin star back in the 90s. He has returned to Cornwall to bring his brand of exceptional food and relaxed dining to the Falmouth Arms. Classics like beef Wellington with Madeira jus, fillet of sole Véronique, and a twice-baked Da-vidstow cheddar soufflé reveal a kitchen rooted in technique but attuned to contemporary tastes. Testament to this, the venue has earned two AA Rosettes and glowing reviews.
The Falmouth arms also offers a range of warm and comfortable rooms. Jill Viner has brought her flair for interiors into each room, making each distinct while maintaining a high level of comfort throughout.
